Every once in a while, I'm asked to write a short story, and if it's for a peer, publication or cause I believe in, I usually do my best.
Now, anyone who's read my books knows that brevity isn't exactly my specialty, so I find short stories really force me to focus.
The two I've included so far were for back-to-back Halloween collections with other authors, and each had a theme. The first had to be a ghost story, preferably real. The second had to be about a black cat.
Hopefully, I did them justice.
